Kim Clarke
Director of Youth Ministries

As Director of Youth Ministries, Kim is responsible for coordinating and implementing programs for the youth of St. Peter's who are in grades 6-12. The current programs include Christian education classes based on the Journey to Adulthood program, in addition to outreach opportunities and gatherings for fun and fellowship.

For the 2006-2007 school year, Kim is coordinating a Confirmation class, which is led by clergy and teachers from within the parish. A Rite-13 class, for 7th and 8th graders, meets during the Sunday Christian Education hours, and Kim leads the J2A Youth Group which is comprised of youth grades 9-12, and gathers every other Sunday evening throughout the school year.

In Kim's past career as a scientist, she developed training materials and taught certification courses in the field of biology, in addition to coordinating hands-on laboratories for Bring Your Child to Work Day. Kim is currently pursuing her teaching certification in biology at the secondary education level. Through her position as Director of Youth Ministries, Kim believes that St. Peter's church can provide an environment where the youth not only learn the values and responsibilities of being a Christian, but apply these values to their daily lives.
