FLASH BACK OF SPRING 2008
27 January - Evensong with the Choristers. The Choristers will sing the music of David Hogan. Following will be an Organ Sampler Recital featuring Walden Moore, Christian Lane, Paul Jordan and June Hale. The recital will explore the various sounds of our Casavant Freres organ as well as demonstrate the music of differing musical styles from several composers.
24 February - Evensong with the Parish Choir. The Choir will sing the music of Mendelssohn, accompanied by the famed Vinca String Quartet which recently performed at Carnegie Hall. Following the program, the Vinca String Quartet will play a mini recital.
27 April - Evensong with the Choristers followed by a mini-recital featuring Marion Belson, Marimba Virtuoso. Many of our parishioners have heard our own Marion at the Marimba, but this is a perfect opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to marvel at her playing of this beautiful instrument. Listening and watching her play is a joy to the eyes and to the ears.
25 May - Evensong with the Choristers, Parish Choir and the Elm City Girls' Choir, accompanied by guest organist, Noah Horn. Following the program the Elm City Girls Choir will present a mini-recital. You must mark your calendar for this culminating event as well as each of the monthly Evensongs.
Music provides food for the soul and each of these Evensong/Recitals will be a feast. A special reminder that these events are perfect for bringing children both younger and older, to whet their appetite for musical and liturgical events. A free-will offering will be accepted.
