Book Discussion - Gilead with Rosie Cole
Sunday March 30
Gilead by Marilynne Robinson
Rosie Cole will be leading a book discussion on
Gilead on March 30th. It is a book with which you
read with a highlighter so that you can mark the sections
you want to review and reconsider later. The
discussion of this book can only be rewarding even if
you don.t finish in time. But to be best prepared, get
a copy and start reading it now!!
After Easter, Rev. David Stayner will use two sessions to help us to continue sharing our thoughts regarding our responses on suffering. After Compassion in Action we will have a short series on Judaism. The format will be similar to the one we had on Islam. Beryl Lyons a 'converted Jew' will present background and factual information about the faith in general. On May 4th Rabbi Andrew Hechtman of Kol Ami in Cheshire will come to share his personal experience with Jewish worship. In May, we look ahead to completing this year's forums with a series on the Environment coordinated by Rev. David Stayner
