About Godly Play
Godly Play teaches stories of the Old Testament, of Creation, Noah and the Flood, Abraham and Sarah, and the Exodus. Every week your children will hear a different story, with figures meant for their "play". They'll also have a craft/activity time and a "feast". This program, developed by an Episcopal priest, is based on storytelling and creative response. We need a parent volunteer to coordinate our snacks - we need crackers and juice every week. If you are interested please contact Martha at 272-4041 x. 3 or tell one of the Godly Play teachers.
Godly Play is held in the upstairs classroom in the education wing, next to the nursery. Following Godly Play, children are welcome to stay for Children's Chapel in the same room. This is a child-friendly service of the word. The children will hear the daily Gospel lesson and a related story. We also sing a lot and pray for friends and pets. Children will join the regular 10:30 worship service during the announcements.
Parents: Please remember to pick up your "Parent Pages" every week when you drop off your child. These leaflets summarize the story of the day and give tips for talking about it with your child when you get home.
